Mission
A Sense of Home (ASOH) prevents homelessness by creating first-ever homes and a community for youth aging out of foster care in Los Angeles. Through home creations, community support, and ongoing resources, ASOH empowers former foster youth to build stable, successful lives.

What They Do
Home Creations: In just 90 minutes, 15-25 volunteers transform empty spaces into fully furnished, warm homes using 330+ donated items.
Housing Support: Helps youth secure vouchers and stable housing through partner properties.
Ongoing Supportive Services:
• Educational scholarships
• Financial literacy and life skills training
• Job placement and referrals
• Connections to resources including free counseling, mentorship, parenting classes, and legal support
• Community engagement via the Pay-It-Forward Ambassador (PIFA) network

Sponsor a Home Creation
• Volunteer with a group to furnish and decorate a home (Thu–Sat, up to 25 people)
